The Finch Saddle Bag

Nederlandse versie

My newest creation: the Finch Saddle Bag. A simple pattern, but without any additional instructions. The more bags I'm making, the more I'm loving it. I surprised myself by sewing this  without any instructions!

Because I thought it would be nice to have a guide, I decided to take some pictures and notes. This way you'll be able to make this bag without a problem. The only thing I changed was that I fused the shoulderstrap to the body instead of using an iron clasp to join it. The tutorial/sew-along will soon appear on the blog.

A few months ago O. and I decided to take the next step. After 2,5 years of living together in a small apartment, we made the big step and bought a house. Moving does has it's side effects: this little creature couldn't take the thought of us leaving and decided to end it. We gave it a proper burial after photographing it's final beauty.

Back to the real order of the day: a real home with enough rooms, a garage, large living room and kitchen, 2 (!) little terraces ànd ... a garden! We're enjoying our humble little home since Monday. It wasn't long before the two of us became the three of us. On Wednesday this cute little, royal guest joined our beginning little family.

With a lot of pride, I present you Leopold. Named after Leopold II, the second King of Belgium, he's a curious, lovely and truly royal little cat. Very playful and really looking for attention whenever he can, he's sometimes a little handful. A kitten always comes with a bit of a challenge, but so far, so good. I can truly say that I really love that cat, I have no other words for it.
